A mana guage:
Made to be like HP or exp gauge.

I totally agree. Sometimes it is hard to tell based on the blue bar. It can be hard to see against certain backgrounds, especially when you are not zoomed in all the way.

I agree, that it would be very nice if there was some way to see your mana in the backpack..
Whether its a bar, a counter, etc. isn't so important as a more exact count.

a suggestion on this point could be a dial count, like for instance a ring around the weapon button so it would be full on full mana and decreasing as you use it. as most mages use spells, this ring on weapons button would be easily visible, even on small screens. and just extending a little bit on topic, this could also apply for skills, cause atm all we get is green (active) and red (not available) with that annoying message saying "wait".... a dial makes clear when skill can be used and shows recharging status. or if not a ring around the button, then a 'pie' style with say 8 'slices' that decrease when pressed then increase when charging.
so many ways, easy to implement, so little time for details,,,,, lol

Didn't think about it that way. and that would work for all the characters not just the mage.
