Yes you're right, some androids don't support them. If there were symbols and emotes actually integrated into the ft apk, then it would work on all devices that.support ft.

We would.only really need Simple ones.
There could also be translations of the words that the emotes mean in every language that ft supports. (for instance, follow, wait, stop, help, kill, killed, up, down, left, right, map, beware, go/start, test)
If you can't think.of how to draw universally accepted images for these words, then maybe an ultra light translation algorithm (one just that translates these very useful words from a list) would be helpful.

It is a lot.of.work though, and there are more pressing matters that urgently need fixing.
