castle not firing back when upgrading

our castle was being upgraded and attacked by a mage. it was not firing back at him. mage stood still.
isnt it supposed to fite at half strength?

on the subject of casstles being upgraded.
why cant u access storage?
are they bricking up all doors when building an extra wall or other defense? :-)

real.castles wereconstantly being improved, rebuild. people lived there the whole time.

The castles firing back when attacker made any damage to it. If attacker is too weak to make any damage then the castle doesn't strike back. Why? because it was much easier to do in code. Maybe I will improve it.
If he made damage and castle didn't respond it is a bug. Was it a bug?

Sounds reasonable to give access to storage during upgrading. I will consider it :)

tested a couple of times and now it does fire back.
maybe lag or a display glitch.
