Really.. The forums are to express our opinion and now we apparently getting banned from that. Guess our forums no longer free open minded as i read the post from demon. All he did was repost "old" post that expressed himself and those post were created by a moderator. Quote "If you share your password and lose account IT'S YOUR FLAUT" unquote. I mean really account sharing is against rules but yet one man solely gets punished forthis when I know for fact as seen post on forums and other evidence that there a lot more. Will we see actions taken probably not intill some people stop targeting individuals. You say you towards equal players I say that's not the case with recent evidence.

I don't mean to be harsh or insulting, but I would suggest that you don't talk about things you don't know about; it generally serves only to make you look foolish. You are unaware of what he did, and mistaken about his statements on the forum. Having other players falling for his lies is exactly what we were trying to avoid which led to locking the topic in the first place.... they are good for nobody and serve only to cast himself as an innocent victim of bad moderators. I find myself in a similar situation with your comment. If I respond, it may lead to a lot of conversation about nothing. If I ignore it, it'll go on and on getting progressively more insulting until we finally respond anyway. if I delete it, I am called a power freak hiding something. if I lock it, it leads to another post like yours... there is no good response here, so I will just be blunt - - He broke the rules and was very slightly punished... why is anybody crying about it?

Foolish you say yes I may be but a wise old fool. Just to clarify a few things my post was a generalization not defending anyone. As you are correct to say I don't know enough about "Focus" case to speak clearly on his behalf as was told "Account Stealing" and "Account Sharing". Mind you BOTH are against the rules in forgotten tales. However, for you to state such a breadth view of myself not knowing nothing you are mistaken. As I have seen both types of this " Account Stealing" going on. Some are punished recently and others slip past with not so much a glance. Mind you moderators have done there best to keep Forgotten Tales equal and fair towards players but I fear I seethis slipping away as some players are favorable. This is my opinion and no leading facts to hold this claim. Now if you wish to go further into depth please feel free.

tnickel, I thank you for the demeanor of your response.. it would have been easy for us to descend into childish behavior here and you rose above that - it is appreciated

to be clear, I didn't intend to imply that I thought you a fool... simply that you didn't have as much knowledge on this case as the involved player and the admins have, and therefore it is easy to come to incorrect conclusions, which can make a person look bad. I apologize if it came across that way.

additionally, you are correct that there will be trading, sharing, and even thefts that go without punishment. let me assure you though, that it will be either because it goes unfound, nobody is hurt through it, or there is simply not enough evidence to allow us to act - it will never be one player receiving special treatment (good or bad)

as for the forum banning - - I maintain that it was entirely justified as the player was continuously telling half-truths and attempting to manipulate the facts (while ignoring others) in what I can only understand as an attempt to gain sympathy from the FT community to position himself to further take advantage of our players.

i have no idea what went on in this case, and tbh, have no desire to know either, however, i noticed in the other post that it mentions that IP's are 99.99percent accurate, however, this is simply not the case..
people who are connected to the same router have the same ip address. Both me and my friend used the same router on different devices and got the same ip address.

i'm not saying that i agree or disagree with anyone, i'm just stating a fact.

If this is about account stealing, i'm happy that mods are now doing something about it because it is an issue that can't be ignored or the character thieves walk about with impunity.

Ps, i sincerely apologize for my previous accusation that a moderator had edited my post. i was in a bad mood on that day (which is no excuse) and i will avoid using the forum when i'm in a bad mood in the future.

@davidicke: yes, that is correct. but if you use the same router, it is your issue. if you have friends at your house and let them do stupid things with your internet access point... well, you have to face consequences.

also... lets say, we have an IP of a stealer. the stealer says "that was my friend". what now? we could not do anything now? and... here it was a character, not an IP address.

Idk exactly. What happened in this case. But to just say you'll pem ban someone's alts in game. That's no way to grow the game. He could have spent money on his alts. Would that money be reinbersted to the player if this happens. I know I someone was threting to ban my alts. And money not returned. Someone be in some big trouble.

And if they have an OPEN QUESTION. They shouldn't have to PM.... ITS OPEN QUESTION NOT PRIVATE
