skill and great wood axe

i heard that theminimu. time to gather a resource is 20 seconds, and that this reached at skill 6.

so I asume the great wood axe with speed 2 is of no use to a char with woodskill 6?

max benefit is reached at lvl 10... -3 secs per lvl... 50secs to start... 20sec minimum... im assuming the axe works diffrent but maybe not... with lvl 10 and axe u should be at 17secs
