what allied means to raw

lately i have been asked by several clans to stay neutral in upcomming conflicts.

but if raw us allied to a clan and that clan is attacked this is impossible or the term ally means nothing.
In this post I explain what being allied means to raw.

current raw allies are:
LGND
DR
AD
TREK.
GDOA
GRIM

many ask why we allied to a more warlike clan like DR. we fought many wars with DR and learned to respect their willingness to die and honour. they did not use tricks. if real life issues happened during fights they were willing to stop and continue later.
if we agreed to return gear they did. in short they kept their word. im honoured have such an ally.

WHAT DOES ALLY MEAN:
1) if a raw ally initiates a war against another clan ( is the agressor) raw does not have to help that ally.
2) if a clan attacks a raw ally and continues to do so, raw will defend its allies buildings. its the core of being allied.amutual protection pact.
A duke cannot not do this without making an alliance meaningless.
raw will not automatically go to war and hunt that clan.
but
If that clan also uses 'tricks' or vry high lvls against low lvls and we might declare war too help our ally in all ways possible
