I'm into this stuff, but I have money to feed myself ONLY, and I actually have less so I don't even breakfast, but if you ask me, I'd buy lvls, gear, skin change.... speaking of skin change... why do I have to pay for it now? You guys try and get money anywhere possible, do you? Uuugh.

Skin changes were originally free for any player who reached level 70. There were many bugs to be worked out, and it became a lot of work for GMs. We spent a ridiculous amount of time on it, and players were often angry or hurt when we didn't get it changed as fast as they wanted. After all the bugs were worked out, we asked compbatant (many times) to include it as purchase instead for several reasons.
1> our time can be better spent helping with real game issues
2> it adds value to the skin, so players are happier to have it
3> it's a great way to generate some revenue for the game with something that is absolutely non-essential (many games include things for purchase that you NEED to have, part of what we all love about FT is that you don't have to spend any money to enjoy the full game)

so to be clear, the GMs were the ones who pushed for that, and we do not make any money from the game at all

Id say rewards for both donators and long term players.

Regarding the high levels, we set these rules:

*By reaching level 1500, you may request a special skin. But you cannot change this one too often.
*You will be granted another change within 3 days and one change for free at any time. In total, that makes 3 different skins at maximum.
*We do understand, that you might choose the wrong skin, but then, you will recognize within 3 days for sure.
*Every 500 levels, this procedure can be repeated!

as far as i know discount is a deduction and reward is an addition
