keep losing quest items when i die

Thanks that fixed it....also I took princess nesa to marry sabastious and it didn't give me xp/items and the quest is still in my log book.....is this a bug?

This quest only gives 200 gold. So there is a chance you missed it.

Sometimes, especially when Resa died on previous attempts to deliver her to King Martek, the reported behaviour can happen.
This is no problem.
