Last man standing.

Post by Ruffframe »

Since we all get bored sometimes of just training and killing each other for fun. And more of us are into the game than others. How about we have class account fights with our lower accounts. Each different class and different levels. Maybe 25 levels for each different class can contend each other in the arena. And have grudge matches to claim a title for each class. Maybe the game creator or the mods could give out prizes and players get a title. You could rank players on the wins and then have different titles for different classes . Each account would have to be registered and only be allowed to have one class at a certain level to enter in the event. You could build more rings in the arena and have events held weekly or monthly depending on the event. You might even be able to have a grand prize like 20 levels or maybe a free castle worth 100 levels to the accounts that wins each class. You could also have matches where players of the same level could challenge each other for something done in the game and you want to settle it 1vs1 . You could also have tag team matches where three or more player could fight three or more other players from a different clan. The ideas are limitless to this type of sportsmanship. You could let the dukes bet on their own Lords, Marshals and Team players with clan gold or items from the game if that is allowed. Just trying to give the game a few ideas. Let me please get some feed back on this please.

I tried something very similar already. It seemed that only half of the people that showed up spoke English, and more than half of those didn't listen. That left only a small number of people that actually listened and followed directions. When I asked certain levels to enter the arena, many people jumped in, wouldn't leave, and killed others. It was a really big chore to try to keep it organized. Many took it as an opportunity to kill other people that were waiting and watching. Others tried to interfere from the sidelines by healing, attacking, or trading items (pots especially) to players fighting in the arena. I had help from other players and GMs, but it was a real headache.

I love the idea, and know that many players also love the idea. It would be really nice to have another event like that, but there are so many reasons not to do it. The above issues could be resolved or minimized to some degree, but the biggest issue was that there were so many players from different levels that it was nearly impossible to get 5 or more players in the same level - getting that many of the same level and class... probably impossible.

Without some good solutions and player cooperation, I don't think we will be doing another PvP event for a while. However, if we get enough interest, we just might give it a go.

Actually Dahobbit, its pretty simple. You have the capability of scheduling with modern day technology of Forum. Very simple to have the players register to fight on forum in or under a comment area or have theirs Dukes and Lords do it for them. It does not have to be a spectle of a show at first. You can start small and have a ranking system. They can go by their classes by posting it in forum under a suggestion box or a whole different post area for each class and level. The forum can be how you control each and every fight. You can figure a system out with the Dukes of which player that will represent them. Or if a independent account wants to fight. Then he has to go up through the ranks. After the first 2 fights the ranking system would determine itself by the points from the previous fights, once you have four fights after that . You're ranking system will be defined by 90℅. All the work is over after that. It will run by itself. Might be a little bit of a slow go at first. But it would bring in more players, more money for game and more revenue for the creator to develop more and expand the game.
If the Dukes of each clan want to participate. They will have to organize most of the leg work for you and that will save you a lot of head ache and time. After all it is their kingdom and if they want to expand their kingdom. The map will grow and the game will get bigger.

Any way. I was thinking more outside the box DaHobbit. Why could you not create a death match cage. Two players go into the death cage or on a island surrounded by water and the draw bridge or the cage door closes.
The door or draw bridge does not open until the two combatants have fought and one has died. Their is no logging out. Their is no running away. Their is no place to run. If they log out. They their account stays online. Two accounts v/s each other. No holds barred grudge match. You would not even need a moderator to do it. It could be where the players could challenge each other in the game and and settle the dispute in the "Island of Death" 2 go in, only 1 comes out. And you could make it where if they go in they have to pay a million to fight. Save up the money and have a last man standing at the end of the month will receive the winnings. This way the mods that play only have to play. They can interact in the game. You already have a island in the arena. Put a draw bridge on it and you are in their. You could also have more islands and fight multiple fights.
