My characters won't move!

Time of bug: Same as post
Where: In the mine SW of Ashdown(offline)
What: My party won't move. I can move my Archer, but my other 3 party members will only move to attack enemies.
Why: I didn't enable any new menu options, and I can't imagine why this would be a feature.
Other comments: Nothing I can think of.
Also, what does the shield on my screen mean? It is just below the quest journal, and as far as I can tell it doesn't do anything.

Never mind, if you open the task manager then return to the game they move again.

The shield is to regain control of all party members. If you are controlling only one character and push the shield all characters are selected.
