Get my memory back quest

I did the iron plate, wasp sting, and green flow spell quest. Then went to talk to ascanius and he told me to find the wesstien. I went to the person who gives you the map, and got told to get the comentary letter from the cook and i cant get the letter without the "get your memory back" quest. So im stuck on that quest because the other one dissapeared.

Did you have the "get your memory back" quest in book and it suddenly vanished, or did you never have it?

This is only a visual glitch. You have the corresponding quest in your character file.
The cook will only give the commendatory letter if you have completed 2 quests for him: bring brown wolf meat and zander fish for a fiest, and bring princess Resa to King Martek. You have not completed the latter.
