I can't use mana potions

I hope you don't mind me messaging me, no one in game could help me out. When I try to use a mana potion sometimes I use it and it just dissappears and does not restore my mana. Then sometimes it will not let me use it all. I was wondering if maybe you could refresh my character or something and help me me out. I really appreciate it. Thank you.

You receive mana stats in two ways: 1) your stat points from leveling 2) gear/items you wear. Mana pots will only restore your mana from the first group, which means you must use up all of your mana that your gear/items gives you, and once you are into your mana given by stats, you can then use mana pots. If you only use your mana given by your equipment, mana pots cannot be used. I hope that makes sense.

when applying a mana potion, will it continue to apply (stat) mana until used up? or, will it vanish after first use (regardless of how much mana available)?

so, if i have 200 stat mana + 200 equipment mana (400 total):
I used all equipment mana, then used 50 stat mana (150 left)
I then consume a 200 mana pot: will the pot vanish? or will the pot drop to 150 mana, useable for next time?

The potion is always completely used on first use, no matter how much actual mana had been restored.

Correct. If you use a 10000 (or any number) mana pot, but have only used 1 stat mana, your pot will disappear, and you will be restored to full stat mana = you will get that 1 point back.
