The mystery of the Stans
Does anyone know what the inspiration for the "Stan" character came from? I see there is a Stan skin purchaseble for every class and there is a Stan on more than a few maps. I feel like they have a story to tell that I have not heard. Like was one of the developers involved with the game named Stan? If anyone could clear this up for me I would greatly appreciate it. Maybe there is a long lost history of Stans just waiting to be told.

I always thought it was a generic name that means foot soldier or something, but may be way off the mark.
No insult intended to any player called Stan btw!

That's the seed of an idea for a new quest...'The long lost history of Stans'. I reckon it has potential.Ryaca wrote:Does anyone know what the inspiration for the "Stan" character came from? Am wearing Stan skin as I go undercover to infiltrate the underworld of the Stan community. Let's hope I don't get in too deep...

Re: The mystery of the Stans
Where does "stan" come from? I don't actually know where the title comes from. It is possible it is from the legacy left by Stan! (the ! is part of the name). But as far as where it comes from in FT, there are various websites that provide free graphics. The graphics from the stan characters in FT were taken from a website that called them stan. So, as unappealing as that answer may be - it seems the name was just borrowed from the graphics designer for those skins. Where the designer got the name? idk.

Thank u very much for clearing this up for me. It was gonna drive me nuts lol. I am satisfied with the answer and can now put the mystery to rest.
I was talking with a friend and he said he was thinking that maybe they were the first settlers of FT and were corrupted by the evil Gods and the high priest as he seduced them with false promises of greed and power. (The idea of the first settlers was contributed by Mutedawg).
