Re: Outlaw penalty
Ok iv read every comment and a lot of wats said is true but here is the thing. If ur harassed by someone in game stop going to that spot. And as for the clan and outlaw thing like mad said people drop clans all the time and people throw hissy fits wen I don't buy them things and kill me which I find funny to be honest. But people whine about a lot of the mechanics of the game and classes including being outlawed. Now some points are valid but most are not most are people wanting it easier for them selves wen that's not how this game works. This game is ment to be a challenge. I think if u change outlaws then u change everything about them not just one part that everyone doesn't like. And make it to were people don't unclan for 24 hours just like for rejoining. I think there should be PvP for players who are not in a clan but make it possible to by PvP protection with gold and make it more expensive with every level they gain. Also I don't think people should be outlawed for killing people because there are instances were people kill ur friends or pets and u want revenge then u get outlawed for helping out or returning the favor. I enjoy this game very much the way it is the only thing I'd change about PvP is make it to where 3 people att one is max if not in clan. If u punish outlaws more than already are then should change how to become one.

Re: Outlaw penalty
PvP, when poorly designed, can encourage experienced players to immediately attack and kill inexperienced players before they have even had an opportunity to play. Some MMORPGs set a certain level requirement to engage in PvP combat in order for new players to enjoy, experience and explore the game before actually getting PK'ed by other players. Ganking (short for gang killing) is a type of PKing in which the killer has a significant advantage over his victim, such as being part of a group, being a higher level, or attacking the victim while they are at low health. Player-vs-player dynamics involve ethical issues with players. Because of ganking, some game developers view PvP with contempt. Despite the advantage experienced players have over new players, many game developers have assumed an honor code would prevent PKing.

I don't think you understand what being an outlaw means.. if you are an outlaw you don't deserve anything but to be killed by any player in game. The way most of these people get outlawed (usually repeated offenders) are killing unclaned players that probably didn't want to pvp in the first place. I like the idea and I believe it may be enforced in the future since the outlaw killers such as angrybunny are rarely around anymore.darian420 wrote:The only way this idea would even be acceptable is in a benefit of the doubt scenario which wouldn't be possible with people knowing outlaws can't get their gear. It would be fair if outlaws themselves also couldn't drop gear but at that point nobody would make money. Gear is far too easy to obtain also, this would make PvP die out I think.
