Speed 3 fishing rod

Does any1 know the difference between a speed 3 and a speed 1 fishing rod? Like what is the specific speed percentage difference? Last night, a friend needed a speed 3 rod so I gave him mine. I then purchased a speed 1 rod until I could craft another speed 3. While I was fishing with the speed 1 rod, I noticed not any difference at all in the length of time that it took to catch a fish vs when I use my speed 3. So I was wondering. If I have level 10 fishing, does having a speed 3 raise my fishing skil by 3 levels? Just curious as I now don't believe there is much difference at all between a rod speed 1 and rod speed 3. Maybe a few seconds difference at best.

I seem to think that the different trades maxxed out speed-wise at something like level 6. Any higher and you don't receive any bonus.

I might be wrong here. Please correct me if so.

Mithril tools raise your trade level by two.
And you are right, at trade level 10 difference between mithril fishing rod and regular fishing rod is too small.
