Quest for a skin
player "super arch" is having trouble with forum, and asked me to post this for him
the player is interested in a quest that gives a skin as a reward, suggested around level 100
This is not my idea, I am just posting it for another player

I like that idea
Defeat a creature and gain it's skin? Neon (blue) crocy?

Re: Quest for a skin
I don't like it. Takes the "special" out of "special skin", unless it uses a class-specific skin already on purchase list.

OK makes sense.
Or perhaps a new skin specific to the quest?
In an ideal world ones skin should change to match one's equipped gear

Tbh, I agree with the above statement, that special skins should not be awarded this way.Arashiko wrote:OK makes sense.

However, I like Arashiko's idea that there could be a unique skin, only obtainable by a quest. Perhaps, this quest could be repeatable, but, not easy; maybe even a gold sink (as mentioned in other threads); although, the gold sink would limit the players that could do it. It would be nice if there were a few different skins obtainable by those who cannot purchase with real money; in turn, this is an alternative to risk being scammed.

Ironic, isn't it? We want to bring gold value back by reducing the raw amount in-game, yet we don't want to add anything new worth buying into shops to burn up gold. Lol. Catch 22. Something's gotta give.

Re: Quest for a skin
A market, even temporary, to sell skins for gold. That would work. Only purchasable skins would be there. This would both reduce scams and drain gold from game, while providing a service only scammers would complain about. Lol. The shops could be accessed via a quest (like the shops on map 4.0) and would only let you access your own class skins. 5 shops, activated by the npc, whose built in quest detects class. Easy to program and implement.
