A way to probably stop afk people
Think I found a way to stop afk pet grinding lol add a button that u can push for pets to attack for like 10 mins Max each and if they want them to attack again they have to push the button but no cool down and maybe add it up by the bag, talk, quest and hand thing somewhere. Idk if it's possible to add a time limit for how long they attack or whatever but I would say it's a good idea lol and for afk people that fall asleep or whatever add like a time limit if they don't move or attack talk or any action in game for awhile it kicks them off for 0 seconds and when they wake up or whatever they can log back in

My suggestion would be more in helping players in case of a player walking by and sees a afk grinder. It would have alot to do with an addition to the main game server. This is the safe and fairly easy idea to come up with is, settings on server for a in game player being inactive for a period of 14 minutes should be automatically logged as if you loose connection from the game. I say 14 minutes because if you are chopping wood or building or mining or fishing it gives u plenty of time to react even if your skill lvl is 0. If your inactive more than this amount of time you are outed from the server untill you manually log back on. I have witnessed a afk grinder and to keep him from being jailed I killed him. He dropped his 500 amulet I hunted for him and 2 days later I found him gave his amulet back an told him the rules on grinding afk. I hate to see good players get jailed for it and I know It can happen because I was jailed for it myself. So to the administration team please do look into this idea not only to help good players out but to save the GM time and troubles and explanations.

I believe that a player should be kicked from server long before 14 minutes. Hypothetically, if it was 14 minutes before afk players were kicked from server, I believe that players that were jailed for afk grinding would then be able to say, "I wasn't afk for more than 14 minutes. I don't deserve to be jailed." Just a thought. I believe it should be much sooner than 14 minutes.LordSeth wrote:My suggestion would be more in helping players in case of a player walking by and sees a afk grinder. Only reason I said 14 minutes is for beginner builders really I believe even 8-10 minutes would be fair as well.

While I do like how nice you're trying to be here, I wouldn't be so nice.
Myself, I'd make the limitation 5 minutes or less. Interaction with the game would be required.
This would make the game less "boring"; but, some would say, it makes the game more "tedious".
These would be players who don't like to watch the screen constantly; these are the players who are at risk of being "falsely" jailed for afk. IMO though, if you're not watching the screen, you're taking a huge risk anyway. And, as a GM, I can't tell if you were afk for a minute or an hour; I just, ask you to talk to me a few times over a few minutes; if you don't respond, I act.

yeah, 5 minutes is more than sufficient... with this, you'd never have to worry about afk again - still need to watch for bots of course, but that's a different matter entirely anyway, and one that players can't do by accident (like falling asleep afk)

Mm and maybe before it kicks u something pops up and asked u if u are still there and it gives u 10 seconds to answer it I don't think someone that is been sitting there fishing for the last like 5 mins would just wanna be kicked random lol so I say it would be good to have something pop up and ask if ur still there
