So I've heard many terms on these forums and I still don't understand what all of them mean. Does anyone know what these terms mean?

Google is your friend. Search for forum terms maybe.
This is just what I've figured out from talking to people.

Subtopic I've never heard before; but likely a topic that is a small part of a larger topic. But not too far off topic.
Subforum is just "a forum within a forum"; for example, we have the FT main forum, and Help Wanted is one of its subforums.
Thread is any collection of posts; a topic; for example, you started by posting here your question, and now it is becoming a thread (a discussion).
Post can refer to an individual part of any thread, or as a verb, the action of making such. For example, I have over 1400 posts now In this thread, yours was the first post, mine was the third.
Sticky is also called pinned on other forums; it is the type of post/thread that is stuck at the top, usually denoted by an icon, in this case, a little pin. Notice the Trade Assistance is a sticky. Stickies will always be at the top, and won't get buried until you have too many of them.
