Knight skin
I wonder if this npc knight skin will be available in the future.

That is a colored NPC, which can be colored in so many ways that are not as available to skins. I'm sure if someone fiddled with the matrix a while, they could come up with a mud-looking skin like that.

NPCs are easy to colour; they have no animation and are generally a single picture to edit.
Skins, however, need a full animation set; that means, many pictures to colour. Much more complicated, if you want custom colours not available in the colour matrix suggested method.
Also note, compbatant said he's not looking for new variations of existing skins, as they would increase the game size if not made with the colour matrix method.
But, he may be tempted if the skin colours are good enough.
I would suggest, if you're willing to do such extensive work, colour a single frame, ask for his approval; if he gives it, then do all the extra work.
It wouldn't be great to colour so many frames, just for him to say no.
