I bought a pet for 2.50 and it died... I read here that if I dies it would respawn.... I died and it didn't respawn... I really hope I didn't buy that pet for it to die 5 mins after I bought it.

Pets can be devastating if used in the right way and against the right monsters. However, they do die extremely quickly when more powerful monsters attack them (as I and many other players will agree).

That's the game mechanic.
That's why players don't get pets at low level because they die easily
And I have never, ever, bought a pet for real money
