Hard to play a game with BIAS GM's
I'll be returning to the things that are lonesome like building and levelling up. Can't really do much when GM's punish my allies for stuff that our enemies get away with, and it's even harder to play when those enemies use hacked accounts and bugs to get ahead, and not get punished for it.
Enjoy.
Enjoy.

Please explain. What clans are getting punished and for what? What clans are getting away with something, and what are they getting away with?

By now it's all common knowledge. They know it, we know it. At this point all I will do is laugh and do my own thing. Tired of how ridiculous it is.

Re: Hard to play a game with BIAS GM's
I seriously doubt any of the current GMs are biased towards other clans. Sure, I have a preference for my own clan - but no bias. I have jailed my own clan members and make them contact me on forum - just like everyone else.
Besides my dislike for the accusations that we are biased, your post does have merit and deserves a response. I do think Ardesia is the most knowledgeable about the issues that you are referring to. We have discussed it briefly in our GM chat group. She is busy today, but a detailed response is forthcoming.

How very typical.Tommy wrote:By now it's all common knowledge. They know it, we know it. At this point all I will do is laugh and do my own thing. Tired of how ridiculous it is.
A player makes general, vague accusations against GMs publicly.
Then, when they're called on it, they cower away and leave more vague comments - like this one.
Your first comment is nothing but slander, with no evidence, and is false. IMO this is punishable, but the others are staying my hand - for now.
So, let me voice some things instead.
"Common knowledge" - wow... you're referring to the rumour mill... nothing proven, and in fact, most of it lies, speculation, or otherwise just made up.
The things that are spoken of when GMs are supposedly not around, and the things players believe to be true... just makes me laugh.
I'm quite surprised these players aren't talking about sighting bigfoot or aliens in game as well...
As for your above mentioning of BIAS, you're so mistaken, and not even close to the mark.
We typically do not announce punishments of players out of confidentiality. The exceptions being scammers, and on the occasion that a GM is kicked from the team.
As for recent punishments - in this particular war, both sides are abusing things - your side is not full of saints.
Both sides have been punished - and currently, there are players in jail over it.
But, like everyone, players just tend to care about their own quaint little corner, point fingers at their enemies, and try to play themselves off as innocent.
Their extensive knowledge of "common knowledge" usually does not extend past their existing clan and list of friends, and the rumours that they hear. They usually do not hear the exactly mirrored complaints from the other side, accusing their enemy of getting the GM favour.
We are currently discussing of posting info on some of these punishments - the more severe ones at least - as they don't seem to fall into the "common knowledge" that you speak of... I'm not entirely happy with this idea, but it would keep certain ignorant people settled down a little, and may help slow the rumour mill down a bit.

Now for the standard answer.
If you ever have issue with a GM decision, you may contact an admin on the issue. Please include, date, time, map, the issue, the accounts involved, the GM you dealt with, and the decision you have issue with. You may also quote rules if applicable.
Admin decisions are final. If you fail to appeal in a timely manner, by default you are accepting the GM's decision.
I'd also like to point out - complaining about past decisions in such a way is just pointless, and serves nothing but to create public unrest, slander the GM, and maybe draw attention to yourself. You had your chance for appeal - whether you used it or not, past decisions are in the past. Perpetuating said negativity serves nothing, save maybe the player's ego, and is punishable IMO.

As I said, tired of it.
As you said, past decisions no longer hold any weight.
Of course you want it to be punishable for people to say what they think of the GM's. HAHA!
Your reaponse is as pitiful as me not detailing the things we've been puniahed for that others get away.
Enjoy your day

As for slander - this rule applies to all - players and GM alike. If you were saying horrible things about another player, you can get the same punishment.... so wth should slandering a GM be any different?Tommy wrote:As I said, tired of it.

Again though, you like to make vague statements - no proof, no names, no nothing. Yes, it is better you report this sort of stuff by PM.
But I'm aware of your specific case - and I will come out and say - you are biased.
Both sides have been punished, not just yours - so stop feigning innocence.
IMO - at this point in time, as punishments are concerned, your "side" has the advantage.
So if I am biased here, it's that your complaint is unjustified.
Do some players get away with stuff? Sure, it happens.
GMs are not everywhere, and most have full time jobs, families, etc. and volunteer their spare time here - rather than playing a game, and complaining there about every little thing they don't like.
We are not on 24 hours a day, or on every map.
We do not speak every language.
Things get reported all the time - and if we can act on it, we will.
If there's not enough evidence - how is that our fault? Direct your anger where it belongs.
If it's not reported - how is that our fault? Again, look to those who stay quiet - typically those who'd rather just sit and complain rather than do something about it.
-----
Now let's talk about some real life stuff.
We all come from different countries - with different histories, laws, traditions, cultures, peoples, languages and thinkings.
We all have our own unique views on what is right and what is wrong.
To unite all of these, we have a set of rules for everyone - players and GMs both.
But, everyone still holds their own opinions.
I'll tell you something that every country has in common.
Every country has changed over history.
So how does change happen?
Does it happen by sitting in a corner, crying about bad things? No.
Change is done by those who get off their butts, unify the people, and make things happen.
Idle chatter/commplaints will just end up with idle negativity.
So to any - you want to sit and complain - fine, that's your choice.
But I'm fond of old proverbs.
"If you're not a part of the solution, then you're part of the problem."
You think something needs changing? I've pointed it out above how it's done.
It's accomplished by the brave who act, not the cowardly.
-----
Take it or leave it.
No one forces you to play anyway.
And no, just so all know - free to play players have just as much right in FT as those who spend money.
The rules apply to all.

The 'bug to get ahead' is curious, I was once told there was a building bug... which would be a massively unfair. Our clan has built every building stone by stone, plank by plank and if this were true, a building bug, this would be the biggest and most beneficial cheat in FT history!

Once, there was such a bug regarding building. I won't go into the details (I've heard that telling bugs in public is punishable, as well, Lol) but the last I heard it was fixed. It IS possible that some may have figured out how to do it again, but I have no way of verifying this.Khmer wrote:DaHobbit wrote:Please explain. What clans are getting punished and for what? I have to disagree about it being, as you said, "the biggest and most beneficial cheat in FT history," as other "older" cheats (also being left unmentioned) have a greater potential to upset the game, even if they would be more obvious and be caught quickly.
It wouldn't help.DOOMSDAY wrote:GOLGREN EAT TOPIC!!
