Yeah all mages badly need a self heal spell.. otherwise the game will be still not balanced.. having to escape every crowded situation.. not being able to pvp appropriately !!.. I think somehow we all played mages in game.. you whats been lacking in game..

other classes will actually oppose this fact , because its a plus for them.. as we busy in pvp and someone else blocks the heal.. so we die easily because of blockers !

A self heal spell for mages = a horrible idea.

Because heal blocking is a must to kill mages way below my level. I'm level 3100+ and a mage my same level would destroy me 1 vs. 1. I wouldn't even have a chance. Even a group of 2 others with me would be a difficult task to defeat a mage my level. Give them a self heal spell and they will be unstoppable.

how much damage can you do to a mage your level? - if that mage could heal him/herself at 1/2 (mana x1.25 per cast) the rate of the regular heal spell, how much would that heal? --- numbers are generally more convincing than anecdotes

note: this is meant for everybody interested in this thread ;)

I won't discuss my stats but I have battled many mages and I know that this is a bad idea. Spell resist gear sounds nice on paper but in reality it just looks like really neat armor. That's about it. Also, mages talk about battling in crowds but I grind alone and Have had many mages attack me 1 vs 1. There were no crowds then.

Archers swordsman and other chars would normally oppose but actually why they did not mention about having 95 % spell protect on all their gears at lvl 2000 ???? They all bent on trying to weaken mage ... but what about that ?? 95% spell protect + having 2 ballistas ?????

OMG !!! Its like nearly 100% and mage cant stand a chance killing you.. thts why an individual heal spell would fix things.. And we would actually be able to self heal in crowd.. hmm what happened now ?

SPEECHLESS ABOUT YOUR GEARS ? HAVING 95% SPELL PROTECT ??

I THINK SOME LOGIC IS REQUIRED !

Just a reminder to all to cast your vote, linked above...

Also, let me point out...

IMO - no class is perfectly balanced yet - they all need a little work here or there.
As someone in one of these relevant posts said, every class is good at some things, and bad at others...
Yes, in this way, there is a sense of asymmetrical balance - which is good, as symmetrical is boring.

The vote linked above is simply for the mage self heal spell.
I'd be quite happy if similar votes were to emerge for other classes.

For example:
Many think the swordsman should be able to remove the 4th skill - many agree it to be useless, except as a handicap
Many think the dwarf needs a skill rework - specifically for PvP
Archers and Ogres have a few requested changes as well.

I think every class could benefit from a little bit of work - not just a single one.
You may not be so hard on the idea of a self healing mage, if your swordsman gets rid of the 4th skill, and an auto walk to target feature, for example.
Getting community opinions and support on these ideas is the most crucial part though.
If we all get together, and hammer it out to a comprehensive idea, our god of FT, compbatant, may consider the ideas.
Just keep in mind the goal - we don't want to make every class identical to each other; the asymmetrical balance idea is a good one, and it seems to be the idea that we should keep.

Oh, on that note.... I still think we should have an option of class evolution, where you can choose a "specialist" version of your class to suit your playstyle ;)
My mage would be a dedicated group healer in a second - at the cost of offensive power, of course ;)
