FT Game Time - Linux & Conky

I type slow, and on a virtual keyboard even worse. To run the /time command in game I need to:
- hit "123" to get the "/"
- hit "acb" to get back and type "time"

and the popup notice "open time" is so short I have to do it twice sometimes.

and for /pos sometimes 3 or 4 times.

So to ease my pain I created an FT time conky in Linux that sits in the top right of my screen - always.

Here I moved it just over my system time/date conky so you can see the difference:

It will follow DST changes automatically.

The meat of this conky is this line, if you know conky you'll know how to add the image:

I edited the image to be 150x150, saved as FT_150.png and never bothers using the .p or -s commands at all.
Maybe the idea will help someone else ...

Now if I could just get an RSS feed with my /pos I'd be cookin'!!
and stats STR, ARM DEX and Gold,
and lvl,
and equiped list,
and backpack contents,
and bank storage contents,
and Tavern storage contents,

Haha... well I'm glad you've found a method that works for you.

There is another option... not sure if you will like it, but others might.

3rd party android keyboards - keep in mind, that typical keyboards would not be in violation of the rules.
Some support the way of storing text, and typing it in quickly through a shortcut.
This method can be used for commands, like /pos or /time... and even for standard greetings (some have used it for a fancy "hello").

You should know though.
When you go to install, you'll get a huge warning - this is normal.
It says, something like "this app could potentially steal your information"..
Well, it's monitoring your keystrokes, so that's a possibility.
If you do decide to install such an app, I would suggest you research and find a reputable one first.
Don't use one from some no-named small-time programmer with no reviews.

As for knowing what's in your storages... I'd say use screenshots, or the tried and trusted "pen and paper" method

I am a little security conscious and will continue using the original Spanish keyboard layout. I only install "approved" apps and check everything, Researched and talked a lot in other forums before. Nice thing about Marshmellow and up is I can turn off permissions for apps "that don't need to go there" ie: a book - why the heck does it need permissions to access my contacts and email etc. Those simply do NOT get installed for the simple reason I do NOT trust a developer that would do that!

Camera and microphone are disabled on my tablet, my wife's table and my MIL's tablet.

Disabled apps list includes a LOT of the Google stuff and every now and then I get a popup "Google wants to know your GPS location to better serve you" or some such foolish thing. YEA! RIGHT NO! DENY! I also have "Airplane" mode turned on all the time. It's a tablet, it doesn't need to connect to the phone towers and report where it is. "I" know where it is! On my computer desk; 90% of it's life!
