Backpack space is already abused in pvp. Some players even illegally stock more items than they have space for to gain an edge. This idea wouldn't really affect pvp at all.

Think about it. The bug you speak of... if you doubled the legal pack size, you'd more than double illegal pack size - as the bug doesn't seem to be a literal effect of pack size. This is most visible if you test the bug with different max pack sizes - vanilla character, character with extra backpack, character with one pet, character with 2 pets.

You'd be increasing the effectiveness of this bug a lot more than increasing the effectiveness of the legal capacity.

If this bug were fixed, then possibly it could be done.
But I still think the current storage is more than necessary.

Vanilla is a term common in gaming.
It generally means basic, with no additions added.
In this case, I'm referring to no backpack, no pets etc.

It can also mean stuff like no mods, no expansion packs, no cheat codes etc. in other games.

Vanilla is considered to many to be the "basic" flavour.

Perhaps I'm stating the obvious, but why not sort out the bug and then restart this conversation?

My postscript is that I know it has been there in the four years I've been playing so im almost undoubtably oversimplifying what's going on behind the scenes.
