Let's remember that the Anti-AFK System is not the only reason why a character can get disconnected.
Bad net connection is still existing, as an example ;)

Now here's a question in light of DT's post: is there or will there be a penalty for auto disconnect afk, or is the auto disconnect the penalty in itself?

While it was posted earlier in the thread (by MadMikael) that afk-logouts are logged into the server specifically, I wouldn't think that any punishment aside from the "auto-kick" would be needed. (Wasn't this mechanic made to reduce the need for hunting/punishing ppl?)

Perhaps, if a player's info in server showed a long succession of afk kicks, the team might be alerted to the possibility of needing to watch that player more closely for other things.

In addition, the only way to be afk beyond the limit is with an autoclicker. This means that being caught/watched afk for longer than the limit WILL likely be considered autoclicker use, and treated accordingly.

Yes exactly.
This feature does two things: protects the innocent who "fall asleep" or otherwise have to leave the game so quickly they can't log out. The amount of time we save checking and handling for rule 13 is actually a HUGE amount of time. We could not accept those excuses before. Now, we don't have to worry at all, as the innocent should never get punished for this rule now. To me, that is an ASTOUNDING improvement.

Love to see when someone actually thinks something through, and comes up with the obvious answer. I did not say it in my past posts intentionally, as not everyone looking to cheat would figure this out.

Also someone clicking more than 10 clicks per second should (IMO) be auto kicked as it isn't humanly possible. No punishment. Just Le Boot. Autoclicking can always be checked on lower speeds using usual GM checks

10 per second is actually quite easy to achieve... even with 1 finger - you can even maintain it for a pretty good amount of time if you use two fingers ;)

You are missing the point with your braggart remark. This discussion isn't about a tapping contest ;-)

Take care ya'll.

I tried just out of sheer curiosity to see how many times I could tap the screen while watching the seconds on my watch. I could barely get 6 taps per second. No matter how hard I tried I couldn't get past 6.

There are a lot of online click tests (use Google to find them). There you can check how often you are able to click.
It is easy to get the result in 7.5-8 CPS (click per second) for short period (10-20 sec) even without any preparation.
Just a question - how long can you press with such speed?

We're really getting off topic here...
But I'll bite anyway.
In my youth, I used to be able to maintain ridiculous speeds of tapping buttons for several minutes.
This was clearly visible in old games such as the wrestling games of the 80s and the early Mario Party games that had button mash fests to win.
I was deemed by many I knew to be "undefeatable" (an overstatement, but it was said).

Currently, I have things like arthritis and tendonitis etc. and I can't do it for more than say 10 or 15 seconds
If I try, I'll regret it for days too.
But I'm well aware that its possible for many young people to do so.

I would not set something to kick players for overclicking; that could easily punish those who do so legitimately, by accident.
It could also be abused if it logged you out quickly.
I'd much more be in favour of some sort of limiting; and if you do surpass some threshold number, you could be penalized with a short stun of some kind.
This would promote more skill of spell usage, rather than a frenzied button mash contest.

But that's my opinion.
I was quite happy in the 90s when wrestling games started becoming more strategized in timing and move selection over simple mashing techniques.
