I'll never believe that any player can tap the screen 10 times per second. And certainly not easily.

Re: Auto Disconnect for AFK players
It would have a lot of "IF"s in it.Ryaca wrote:I'll never believe that any player can tap the screen 10 times per second. And certainly not easily.
First of all, you'd need a good device, with a lot of RAM etc. to register every tap. None of my devices can do this I think; perhaps, my computer through emulator, but only on a good day.
Second, you would need an ideal connection to the game; most players in FT will never have this. Don't tell me your local network is great, and it's the game's fault for lag when you live on the other side of the planet; there's several connections over several networks involved.
Third, it is possible to do in short bursts. I used to be great at it in the 80s. Maintaining it is another story. The games I used to do it in were all short periods of time. I mentioned Mario Party - by the end of a 1 minute session, I was rather slowed down (but so were my opponents). This kind of thing will favour the young, who tend to have better reflexes. Just so happens, many in FT are young.
But, you are correct, even IF all those IFs are true, it's still not easy.

Re: Auto Disconnect for AFK players
Agreed. And i looked online for world records and one guy in Japan got a ridiculous amount of taps in the 80's but he was using a Nintendo controller which is VERY different than a phone or tablet. And that's the ONLY thing i found on any one person getting taps per second or any Video or website that talked about taps per second period. Video game controllers are designed so that a player has an advantage by the way they are holding them to be able to tap the buttons very fast. Phones and tablets are not. One could get more taps on a game controller than on a mobile device. If a contest were given, the player with a controller would win vs the player on device hands down.

First, I wasn't bragging at all - I'm not claiming to be special or even slightly unusual for being able to tap at that speed. In fact, that speed was chosen specifically because, after running tests, it was determined that the large majority of people could tap at that speed.Blackthorne wrote:You are missing the point with your braggart remark. Take care ya'll.
Second, while I agree that my comment was "off topic" from the original post, if you read the post immediately before mine, you'll see that I was responding to a GM saying that clicking 10/second should be auto kicked...
So, in conclusion blackthorne, your response to me makes no sense. Perhaps try to read and comprehend, maybe even consider a comment in the context of the current discussion before trying to be mean.
take care

try a tap speed test app - I'll give more accurate feedback (obviously I can't post a link here, but there are many free ones on the marketRyaca wrote:I tried just out of sheer curiosity to see how many times I could tap the screen while watching the seconds on my watch. I could barely get 6 taps per second. No matter how hard I tried I couldn't get past 6.

Re: Auto Disconnect for AFK players
I can maintain over 6/s for several minutes with one finger... never tested with 2, but I'd imagine it'd be like an hour or betterkromelg wrote:There are a lot of online click tests (use Google to find them). There you can check how often you are able to click.
It is easy to get the result in 7.5-8 CPS (click per second) for short period (10-20 sec) even without any preparation.
Just a question - how long can you press with such speed?

This is the best I can do
Rather than auto kick, just ignore more than 7cps, and report to server logs if is clearly artificial (20+ cps )

Re: Auto Disconnect for AFK players
did you try with 2 fingers?
either way, I totally agree - about the server report
what I always thought would be cool is that all taps over 6/s would use mana, but have no effect... the 100/s+ auto-clickers who lag out the game would run out of mana, and it would require a bit more skill for the honest players

Server noting (or notifying) if players tap too much? Brilliantblitzcraig wrote: either way, I totally agree - about the server report

Using mana but not getting effect of 8+ cps? I like it.
Both ideas would not only punish abusers in the short-term (mana loss), but would alert the team to clicker app abuses. PLEASE, Compbatant, NOTICE THIS. Lol.

Re: Auto Disconnect for AFK players
I have one question. What switch we have to click to not auto disconnect. Does pressing the attack button count or we have to press other buttons too?
Bcoz while fishing i only press the attack button. Nothing else unless some good item is fished out. But still i feel that few times the system auto disconnect me inspite of me pressing attack button regularly!
Maybe bad net connection too. But i am confused lol.
