Many don't use the forums - why?
1. Because they don't want to
2. Because they find it complicated

So, giving him a chance to learn the forum, how to use it etc., on the basis he may get a pet out of it?
I think that goes in line with what I've said and done all along.

BTW. I've met this player in the past, from a GM aspect.
Getting him on the forum, where he can read the rules (!) is a great idea I think.

As for advantage of people knowing the forums, pfft melee classes have a bigger advantage being able to scan maps for the secret portal exceedingly faster than anyone else yet you (a mage) has won the last two

But for this it was necessary to leave an request on the forum.
In those days, no one had a problem with registering on the forum.
It was not complicated for everyone

He's newer, and Cashew I believe was there on an alt at the time I'm mentioning.
That was within the past month, can't remember exactly.
He's somewhere between 30 and 60 I think.

Well, he told me where the portal was, so I don't consider that "fair and square".
Also, he's a mage too
Thing was, I skipped through that map... I forgot to check there.. I had it confused with the map one over

Anyway, it seems he did create a forum account with the intent of getting on here - only a moderator can verify if the account is his or not.
Like I said, if he continues to show effort in this regard, I'm not only happy to give him the pet, but happy enough to point him to some very good posts (naturally, the rules, but also, the posts about pets would be good in this context too...)

And, I've mentioned this a few times, even suggested bringing it back more than once.
Free skins perhaps could be available in a limited context.
But, this should be required for all special skins IMO.

Yes. That post itself was disqualified.
However, that timestamp makes it before I talked with the player in game, and before I convinced him to try and get on the forum.
He logged off, and I did not see him again.
Then, a short while later, a profile was created with his name (could be his friend, idk).
But the timestamp on his profile page does suggest to me it could in fact be him.

Thing is, if he makes an effort, I'm willing to give him the pet. Just creating an account is not enough (if it's his).
