Re: Some ideas...
nice
if it finds enough support, maybe I'll try again to get it "approved" (or possibly somebody else can)
NightBaby brings up a good point though - this is be regular shops only, and not affect private houses

Re: Some ideas...
Yeah, it would be nice, to craft in peace.
I bought my house later, so I made sure to pick a PvP free area.
I was fortunate, but many were not.
If it is decided that the PvP protect area is not changed, I think any player who have such a housing issue should be granted a chance to move.
As many have stated, they bought the house with this in mind.
Ok, sure, some "abused" that, and ruined it for all... but even those players bought those houses for that reason.
I honestly think the idea of generated "neighbourhoods" could be considered; non-pvp maps, just for housing.
More could be added as demand requires - and they *could* even be carbon copies of one another (although, that's slightly boring).
They could all have a standard entry portal, maybe at start map, where you choose which neighbourhood you wish to visit.
Even the possibility of a fast travel - so a few portals - like maybe major hotspots.
Add to it the idea that ONLY homeowners could enter neighbourhoods (and thus, only homeowners would get such a feature), it could increase home value.
Now, I'm not saying, you'd have to move into a neighbourhood - I rather like my house - but have an opportunity when the feature is added (if it is).
I'd still say houses should be purchaseable like normal - almost anywhere - but this is assuming that maybe the protection is not redone.
I do know, that if protection is reinstated, some will abuse it again. Much like the shop thing blitzcraig mentioned - keep you targeted, take one step out and attack, and duck back in when needed.
Plus, their house could be stocked with PvP stuff....

I like it mad
Allowing a player to move their house to a non pvp area is more than fair imo

I like my house location. I don't want to move it, I just want to craft in peace like others before me could.

Re: Some ideas...
The game changes.
It's still in development.
What you have today, may not be around tomorrow.
It will be up to compbatant to decide.
And it may very well be - no pvp protection for houses.
You'll have to accept that.
