Re: Politics and dollar signs
I would recommend the items.txt file (not items.list) from General Information.
It was updated... er... September or October I think.
As for the grinding vs. buying...
I challenge anyone - try and make a new alt with no external help.
No gold, no items from an alt or strangers. Yes this includes level 0 boots too.
No purchases with real money - packs, pets, levels, whatever.
Try and solo the game.
It's not that easy.
I tried it a while back and had a bit of fun with it.
Just an idea for those looking for a challenge.

I have no alts whatsoever

Re: Politics and dollar signs

Re: Politics and dollar signs
I personally think the game would be better if purchased levels were capped at 500 (meaning you could buy up to level 500, but after that you could not purchase levels for that account... but I've been saying that since before the first character was level 500 lol... fought for it for a while, gave up long ago :p
At any rate, that obviously didn't happen, and since it didn't happen, I see no problem with people spending money to buy levels to help them better enjoy the time they spend gaming... after all, that's why we're all here, right?

I love this idea and I think u understand what I am saying. And I do remember mute and I starting this game with nothing. It was really fun like that. I occasionally start characters for the fun of re doing the original quests and yes I give them gold and 0 boots. I go find gear to make it simpler.MadMikael wrote: ↑Sat Jan 27, 2018 12:03 am I would recommend the items.txt file (not items.list) from General Information.

The memories of starting out from nothing, of making your first few friends, of everything being new and exciting, and experiencing those together...TRAXXAS wrote: ↑Sat Jan 27, 2018 12:16 am

These memories are some of the most precious.
Never forget them. Never forget the true friends you made along the way.
There are dungeons I avoided for a long time, as they reminded me of friends long past.
The game is far different now; I've posted some pics from 4 years ago...
Much has improved (or not, depending on your point of view), but those friendships were real.
Keep them in your hearts.

Don't lie. I know you have a mage. I've seen you play on it. You posted before about it. Try again.
Does life really get better?
Re: Politics and dollar signs
I'm saying cap 100 lvls once week every week or day even, for all accts. This let's less fortuante players keep there grind strong to keep up. Game developer will get money the same but in steady revune. The excessive lvl buyers are taking game experience away from he selfs.blitzcraig wrote: ↑Sat Jan 27, 2018 12:15 am I personally think the game would be better if purchased levels were capped at 500 (meaning you could buy up to level 500, but after that you could not purchase levels for that account... but I've been saying that since before the first character was level 500 lol... fought for it for a while, gave up long ago :p

Rule number 9 state's "reducing game play experience for others"
I feel like by being able to purchase thousands of lvls per day it breaks this rule in a way that affects everyone in the long run because of the way these accounts get traded or sold. I just feel like there should be some way to fix it. It's just that it was never brought into the open.
