Yeah, had a bit of fun with it.
Today, there was a bit of a crisis - compbatant adding cool features, but there's a bug in it and we're still looking for it.
He had to put the old code back for now. It's a clan map thing, so I doubt you'll be interested LK.

I am glad you enjoy the art though.
Kinda hoping another GM will kick some stuff out, as I need a break from it - that Gandalf pic took over 4 hours to design - both the test one and the final combined.
It was frustrating, to put it mildly.
I'm not sure if I should tell this... but I will anyway.
The logs for the commands I used were pulled so we could maybe make it again.
The list is so long, it had to be placed in two forum posts, as it was too long for one.
And the second one is nearly full too.
I paused and walked away in frustration a few times as I was making it

As for me, I'm trying to relax a bit - a little stressed from real life too - so I've been playing my mage.
Currently working on a crafting project - diamond swords.
I've probably crafted over 100 now, in the past few days.
The good news - I've actually succeeded in making two +1 versions (they're spoken for currently).
I'm hoping to get a +2 eventually... but that's a crazy low chance, and I'll likely give up before that occurs.
We'll see.

Sounds like you had a great adventure with GOLGREN - I am quite happy that you've made such friends in the game.

Hey Mad, you make another Diamond +1 or +2 - Put me on the buy list will you. The next range 2 sword isn't until 500. I have 3 Diamond Swords; two are spoken for when they get to lvl 175 and the third I keep until lvl 500. maybe I should try my luck at crafting them ... must check materials.

I can well appreciate the work and time it took to do Gandalf, I certainly hope the "code" is preserved for future use.
I captured it for prosperity; mine so popping in into this thread was a given.

GOLGREN is good friend. Showed me the ropes early, and excellent mentor and tank! Ryaca, L3on3 and you, MadMagus, and J Valdez. The list just goes on and on and on ... especially to a lady, whose name I don't know but she gets a HUGE HUG {pixel} and THANK YOU! There is one person who will read this and pass that message on for me I'm sure.

Yup, 250 looming on the horizon and I'll get to wear my first +1 and +2 gear!!!!

GF just got back from the liquor store - yes, I'm taking the rest of the night off.

I keep forgetting: Weekends - Kiddy Time, and a few other choice words to call them!

Walked into the Red Monster dungeon and BANG! Swarmed by the REDS and they were following a very healthy gamer(454) with two fairies.

He didn't even stop to think about the two pets that were there and I lost my dog, the spider got out with a very low yellow!

Is there a shop where "Loyal Knights of the Realm" can buy 50cal "Terminator" type machine guns?

NO DON'T ANSWER THAT! It's not a real question, but more a reflection on what I feel about some players right now.

The first time in, I was already mining mith and a mage(154)[§] walks in, and helps kill the red that attacked me. Totally different person, when done I typed "Full, I wait", and we walked out together. They he did the stupidest thing, goes back in, parks is pets (guessing) gets a swarm going and dies... I see him appear at MadHouse 0,0 and then up in the new clan map area.

OK 20 ore less but I'm here, may as well fill up.

Well, son of a doggie!
No sooner get started killing the one red in the corner of the mith room and I see "BLIP" someone logs in near the top, creates a spawn and drags it to the entrance. Now it's a race, I gotta kill the red before the swarms gets my spider! Red dies, I log ... have not gone back in yet to see, but I "think" I saved him. All I need now is for someone to come and create a spawn just outside the Mith room.

Logging ... SAFE!!!!!

Could I suggest then that maybe a small announcement of the levels required for event be announced? Such as "pirates are attacking ashdown! Levels 1-10 go defend the town." or just adding at the end of the message (10) so the max level shown is in parenthesis.

I have pretty much stopped going to the invasion at Marteks castle for the same reason. Some level 1500 or other high level will tank all the mobs into one area and have his pets spread out a little bit. This creates a huge aggro storm in one area while them and their pets kill the enemies, lower levels can't get close enough to fight 1 or 2 without pulling 10 other enemies to them.

The funny thing is, those were actually just the test events... the real events never got implemented; more important stuff comes up, or whatever.. and not many ideas came out I guess. Really I can't say for sure. I do know, that input on the matter would still be welcome.

I'd suggest, resurrecting the original post (I've been intending to do it for a while now, but y'know, get busy, and it's not high in my list of priorities)
Add as many ideas as you like. Perhaps, compbatant will show interest

Add similar events for high level gamers before noob-event and after, or something. Or mid-level event at same time as Ashdown and Martek . That way there is not only one event at one time. Or take away attacks altogether and add Kill Quests where you must kill a certain number of AI to be rewarded for kills. Kill Quests for everybody!!!
And...Kill Quests can be done DAILY!!!!

Got a level this morning (243), and a really nice story ...

BUT first the dentist!

Back later ... dentist at 11 - an hour to get there an hour home and whatever time there.

Yesterday I had some fun with Inglingg, an archer(150+), he's an alt of a friend, his initials are: (only if he says I can), with two Staff Stans, we did it like this:

He got the bottom half of the spawn, I got the top, and our "stans" shared in both areas.

He levelled twice for my once (153) vs (242), makes sense, and we shared the 48 wands gained equally.

This morning before he hit the pit, he was working/playing all night, we did the same.

When he left I had JUST enough time to get a level in = 243 and then off to the Dentist. Impressions made now I wait 15 days for my "Store Boughts".

Me: Of course, and I have the receipt to prove it. {toothy grin}
