problem with map editor

I can't open any file when I download map editor...my question is :is it my phones foult or that files foult?

much of the editor is meant for pc, not android... you should be able to open graphics and many text files with the right apps, but you will notbe able to run the editor itself

The editor runs with java...
It will work on Windows OS...
I've heard that it can work on linux based systems if you set it up right.
I've also heard that it will not work on a mac OS.

Theoretically, if you had a powerful phone with the right setup, it could work, but I wouldn't recommend it.
The program itself is not the friendliest, and a large screen is very helpful.

It should work on Mac OS too, and on Linux without problems ( I am using myself Linux). It will work on any system which supports Java.

So I need editor only for to make new skin colours! That's all..but it won't show me skins pic too..what should I do to see skins pics?
