For an archer, which skill is best for attacking (PvM)?
(30) -Double attack speed
(60) -Fire arrows: Reduces enemy life by 30%.
Forget this, useless unless you are going to run!
(100) -Freeze arrows: Enemy can't move.

I personally prefer double speed when I'm by myself
I use fire if I'm grinding in a group

BOO!

That makes sense ... 30% of 4 is more than one but no drops.Ryaca wrote: Sun Feb 18, 2018 2:33 am I personally prefer double speed when I'm by myself

But fire is a one shot deal if only firing at one enemy, so in that sense double speed is better as it last a time span.

One enemy ... would a fire arrow then double speed until dead work?
I know there is a waiting time for skills but no idea how long ...

yeah, just figure out how much damage you do at regular speed in 20 seconds... if it's less than 30%, then use fire skill... if it's more than 30%, use double speed arrows
(basically, test 1 monster, if it takes less than 1 minute to kill it, use speed, if it takes much longer than a minute, use fire -- and a lot of times alternating is best... use fire right away, speed when you can, then fire again when it's close to death (leaving enough time to hit next monster at the end of your fire rotation, so you may have time to use speed twice during that one... stuff like that - improves kills during your grinding time, and also helps break the monotony
)

@ blitzcraig
Nice response. Logged it. You're right about the monotony too. Thank you.

Re: Archer - which skill
Happy to help
my archer has spent a lot of time playing with that exact question lol
EDIT - we should get your archer and my mage together sometime for some power leveling

Re: Archer - which skill
pets and spawn make a big difference
if i spawn caveman and shoot firearrows at them ogres kill them in two hits. then my firearrow auto targets the next. etc.
if you create the right size/speed spawn you can get around 6 montsterkills before the firearrow runs out.
a lot more then using double speed.
but i use different tastics with worm pets or against devils etc.
monster, pet, spawn all make a difference. keeps it from being just a grind lol
of course at realy high lvls double rules since it uses strength and becomes stronger with lvl but firearrow doesnt change. so a 7k archer should probably use firearrow
