Maybe u should go grab a seige and hit a few of these "dead clan" and c there response times. take the time to learn about what your talking about.do not b lazy and look at a map and say o no one here, must b a dead map
First thing: I spent many hours going around and looking at all of the clan maps way before i posted in the " too many clan maps" in clan topic.
I spent a lot of time on your map fishing. I did this numerous times and for very long periods of time. I have fished much gear on your clan map. The only players that i ever saw on your map were a couple of members from Lt and one from DR. I have seen a player called knighty building just above trek. I am not lazy and have done my homework
I'm going to use an example for hypothetical purposes only as it would be hard for any clan to get to them since they are behind your base. This is for all to see and to understand what is going on.
Many allied clans place alts in other allied clans. Usually very low level and just to build repair if that clan is seiged. This is very petty in my eyes but that's for another topic. I've seen a member on the Waar/Raw map that has a low level alt in every clan on that map. Smh.
I want to use GRIM clan as an example. I believe that if i did attack their base that this is what would happen: players from other clans that have alts in GRIM clan would get the email and log into their low level alts in that clan to repair
Then they would bring their actual higher level accounts(not in GRIM clan) to help kill me(which wouldn't take very long

), meanwhile they would get on various social media like FB, Twitter, Instagram etc and call all of their friends. Again none of these would actually be GRIM members.
My point is is that GRIM is a clan thatjust takes up space that newer players could be using to build newer bases.
Why should clan bases remain just to take up valuable space on a clan map?
Now that being said, i am in no way saying that i know with absolute certainty that the above described scenario is accurate. I am just stating my opinion as i believe it would be very close to that scenario.
Players have long devised and schemed ways to get around game mechanics to stay ahead in the clan part of the game and i would like to say that i believe things need to be changed.
Now, let's talk about the island map. Trio was there for a long time and I've read the older clan posts about that map being invincible. I won't go into all the details. You can go read that yourself if you want.
Not long ago, trio was seiged due to circumstancesthat i believe were very underhanded. Anyway they were seiged and destroyed. The clans on that map now get to have a map that will never be seiged. The ladders is probably why. I've already stated in another post that Clan ladders should be taken away. My clan is on a map that has ladders and i would completely support taking them away from us.
Anyway trio created a new clan called Tfow. They started building on lower right clan map. They were seiged recently and i am not sure if they still have a base their or not. I WILL go and see for myself as part of my homework assignment based on a project i have been working on for a long time.
My point is this: they have faced much hardship but they are still here and aren't going anywhere. I don't know any of their members personally as i don't do any kind of social media like FB but i have a lot of admiration for them.
I don't understand why players are so frightened of losing their bases. That's what clans are all about. If we the players that joined clans didn't accept this then maybe we shouldn't have joined a clan to begin with.
Now, for the record. When i first joined ShdW, i was level 100 and i joined because i liked the idea of many lower levels banding together to defend against higher levels. When the new portal map was released my clan voted to go their. I was completely against this but supported their decision to move their even though i was against it. We had spent many months building there and i didn't want to lose that and i rather liked the lower right clan map. But i saw that all that work really meant nothing. We built another clan map. It was actually fun to build again and i realized why i joined a clan in the first place. I am just a lowly marshal in Shdw and not a Lord our duke so i have very little influence on what goes on in ShdW. And i realize that ShdW is a mostly non pvp clan.
My point is this: yes you are right, i don't know a lot about clan warfare and that is ok. I just see things that i would like to be changed and that is also ok.
Will this ever be changed? I don't know but i feel better to be voicing my opinion even tho i know many players will be against it.
That is the beautiful thing about these forums. All can have a voice here. Not just the veteran experts.
Am i right to suggest this change? I don't know but i am glad i am an active part of the FT community.
BOO!
