Just to clarify. "Cirtrus" here refers to the word "apelsin4ik" (apelsinchik = little orange).

Honestly speaking, idk if I had enough will to resist using such a bug. The fact is, I just missed all the hype and saw consequences only.

Hold the defilers in jail for week to month (depending on the felony degree), cut cheated levels/pets, maybe (depending on the felony degree) cut some more levels but not too many, since it is really painful to lose levels that you honestly grind. Then release them.

With this bug abuse, guilty players did:

- cheat also on items that are in game real money shop. This is real life kind of stealing, not good at all

- create a damage for the whole game economy

- create a huge (and I mean HUGE) amount of work for the staff, which as a consequence is (1) damaging all honest players, who are not being helped as they normally would and (2) slowing down new contents releasing

Be sure that not all jailed players will see start map again.

For me, it all looks like very tricky situation. Since some of jailed (and possibly, permanently jailed) players nethertheless invested real money in the game, there may be the following:
1. Less real money purchases.
2. Legal issues. In the rules, there is no clear penalty system, only vague
deemed fair by the GM team on a case-by-case basis.
This is very arguable wording. Some people may claim, that GM were too hard on them and may want their invested money back, using legal support.

So I think, since you are able to take these "cloned" items back, it is possible to avoid permanent jail. Level take-back, level cut and substantial sentence, I think, is quite enough.

Legal issues are no worry here... players who defraud developers (and Google Play as well in this case) never, ever have a chance of winning anything - no court system on the planet is going to side with the thief here. Many online games regularly delete characters for much smaller infractions.

As for reducing the money coming in, that may be the case in the short term, but the only way to keep any game running is by keeping the trust of the players. If you allow people to cheat at every available opportunity, then the 95% who actually have a bit of honor and play fairly will (no surprise here) feel cheated and eventually leave; or at a minimum, greatly reduce the amount of time and money we invest.

To be honest, I wish that the developer would do what other developers are starting to do and pursue legal action against the cheaters, but I doubt it'll happen.

vlad - I GREATLY respect your comment about not being sure you would have been able to resist using such a bug. I think that if we're honest, many of us would have been tempted... this is common in life, and maybe by learning here from losing a video game character, some of the FT cheaters and thieves will become better people and resist the temptation of stealing next time. Maybe it'll keep them out of jail. Maybe it'll stop them from getting killed breaking into somebody's house. Maybe it'll change their life. Or at the very least, hopefully it'll stop them from cheating the rest of us FT players again. In short - I hope none of them get anything returned back to them, and even that all their alts, and even every account they have ever successfully logged into because their friend was sharing.... I wish they would all be permanently removed from the game.

Anybody who wants to look at the action taken upon them as unfair or unjust is obviously mistaken....now I understand that some people may have in fact received or purchased lvls or pets from players and they were unaware that said pets/lvls were obtained from illegal actions.....but for the most part I'm sure you could honestly assume that the people using these illegally obtained items are knowing my using them.

If anybody should be taking legal action it should be combatant....in my eyes any and everyone who used any of these items should be jailed......and the jail sentence could be determined by how many times or items were used by any one said person....and for the people who were repeat (and from wat I heard repeat means many many times in this situation) offenders jail them permanently....or u could also give them the option that they have to pay for every lvl/pet/item they used (with real money) and then their character can be released from jail.....i have heard (not sure if it's true or not) that some people are just having lvls taken off of their acct and they are free to go...if this is true I have to feel for all the people who lost equipment to these people...its truly sad that they have to suffer from people (who probably aren't worthy of) killing them and taking stuff that could have taken weeks to obtain.

Hopefully in the end all is taken care of tho....you have to know/assume that the guilty parties took measures to protect their main accts (for example fall guy accts, making different emails for accts) so it really makes it a hassle to take care of for gms and combatant...and in the end we all have to suffer for their pettiness.

P.s. hey gm the last line of text there is kind of why I thought u should release a list of culprits

The following is only my thoughts and feelings and a bit of a rant!

I am at a loss for words. And the more I read this the more I hope "permanent" jail become the "automatic normal action" for this ... as well as their alts.

ardesia's
first statement --> indicates legal action possible by compbatant and company. I've read where that probably won't happen, so if "permenant jail" is what they get, they can consider themselves lucky!

second statment --> they have hurt "everyone" in the game, and there are players that have no idea what's happened as timewarp said, lost items in pvp action to these cheaters that they worked hard for to get. However it's probably safe to assume that a few of these battles were being fought by two cheaters as well.

third statement --> as if the GM's didn't have enough to do in the normal day to day activities in the game now they have to deal with:
. . . 3rd (1) because the GMs are busy with this and the 'sharing of accounts part' this make me mad. Players will think GM's are ignoring them and they might/probably will start not liking/trusting GMs. I'll do my best to dispel this idea.
. . . 3rd (2) OH how this one really fries my butt! We can see the new maps and are wondering why they are not out yet. Now we know why they are not coming along as fast as we hoped. So with that: I REALLY hope the punishment is as harsh as possible.

Like MadMikael's signature: I'm not a cop, I'm a garbage man, I take out the trash!

Well, let's all encourage the GM's to take out the trash. It's smelling up FT World.

The preceding was only my thoughts and feelings and a bit of a rant!

Those who abused the bug did a severe mistake as mentioned in earlier posts. From what i heard many were repeat offenders too . So its good that they were permanently jailed. They deserved that. Very nice work by GM team.
And i heard some were let off because of less severe mistake. Its ok to give second chance to them but they should always be closely monitored from now on. Whenever they repeat that mistake or break any other rule they should be permanently jailed in future.

I wondered why start map has been so empty and quiet the last few days.
I heard that over a hundred were jailed and many abused this from a lower level all the way to a few thousand.
Players jailed are claiming innocence, but if you think about it, most of them had to know something was up.
C'mon.... A player you never heard of or seen before is suddenly selling hundreds of purchasable items and is somehow a super high level? COME ON put some thought into this!! You have never seen this name before, they're a high level you've never heard of AND they're selling a ton of purchasable items?

It's better to be safe than sorry.

If you see something suspicious, don't fall for the trap! Tell an Admin, a GM, or Compbatant so it can be looked into! If you know about someone abusing a bug, especially to this extent, REPORT IT!

Don't sit there and let them ruin the game, say something!

To end my little rant, I just want to say: Don't let anyone lead you to do something you know is wrong. Lead yourself. You are your own person. Don't follow someone because they're so "cool" or "special". Do what you know is right and be proud of doing it. Speak up! Be different, be that one player who does what's right and reports what they know is wrong.
Does life really get better?
