Subject says it all: How do pets pick targets?
I would if I could but I can't, so I won't. My forgetter is getting better.
I do not make typos, the keys move around on my keyboard to confuse me.

I *think* pets automatically attack the nearest monster to them, but would like this confirmed.
The style of attack differs between ranged and melee pets as well . Ranged stand still whilst melee can run about everywhere trying to attack, particular when there are many obstacles (for example, library).
