Well, I suppose whether you succeed or fail the first step is to try. That sounds like a corny motivational poster someone would put in an office!

Isn't there a chance that anything above 85 % chance won't give you XP on failing. For me it seemed that failing on planks stopped bringin' me XP after I reached 85 %.

As i said the actual xp u gain by craft is much less. According to formula 85% success means one should get 150 points by craft fail. But actually u must be getting around 15 points . That's why it might seem not to be not gaining craft xp

To think our self confidence is lower than that of our enemies is Death!!
Staying alive in battlefield in fear of our enemies is Death!!
Running from our enemy instead of fighting is Death!!

Re: Two dumb questions for the price of one
I'll resurrect my thread for another question, because why not?
I have a fairly lower level mage alt that I don't do much with. I figure while my main is off galavanting around I might as well try to get some magic trunks with my alt on an old phone. (Yeah, mages aren't a great choice, I know.) My alt is now skill level 3 for chopping +150 or so and I don't believe he has gotten any magic trunk yet. You don't need to get to a certain point to get to magic trunks, do you? I'm sure he just stinks at his job, but figured I'd ask.

The skill level is actually a speed level. A level 10 chop will be faster than your level 3 and so increase the chance of getting magic trunks because of the sheer volume of their drops. They aren't better than you, just faster.

Re: Two dumb questions for the price of one
That's what I figure, but it just seems odd. I know how percentages/odds work, so it's not like one "needs" to drop because others haven't before (presumably it's straight chance and not a minimum drop rate). Given the number of trees felled it is just odd, but such is life.
On a semi-related note, my apologies to Ardesia and her namesake city for what has happened to all of her trees many times over!

I did feel a tiny bit of regret each time, and if I got a magic trunk I'd stop!LostKnight wrote: Sat Apr 28, 2018 4:18 pm Oh right, and this from the guy that loves chopping down poor Cashew's Tree House for Cats.![]()
