Why?

For the 99% of us it makes sense. There are always those who will take advantage, though. This idea seems to fall into that bracket.

If I'm wrong with this, I am very happy to be wrong.
Interesting please explain how you think someone might be able to "take advantage".

The way I read this: it's immunity from "TotalStranger", who attacks me, out of the blue. I have never seen him before, and I log. I don't retaliate and take a blow, then log, but immediately log out.

When I come back, even if "TotalStranger" is still there waiting for me, I have PvP immunity from his attacks, not from anyone else.

What Arashiko didn't say is for how long. I'd like forever that way he can't hunt you down and try again.

But, being realistic I'd say for a week, which matches the 1 week PvP protection a person can buy now.

Of course this doesn't address the issue of a level 3k, 4k, 5k, ... 11k player killing a lower level player with "one hit", but still it's a start.

Actually as I understand things the only way a high level can attack (and thus one-shot) someone more than 3 levels below them is if they are already enemies, or the lower level initiates the fight, or is outlaw, or clanned, or is in a clan map or the Colosseum.

i totally support Arashiko's idea. Because it's only for non clan players in non clan maps nd i don't see any way as it can be abused. Because the clan maps, Colosseum are left out from this suggestion. At clan maps and Colosseum the earlier PVP rules apply. So no question of abuse in clan wars . And for clan members also earlier PVP rules apply no matter where they are. So no change there. As for abuse by heal blockers by non clan players, The heal blockers are usually low lvl and in present situation also can't be attacked upon unless they attack first or they are in clan map. So no change there also . In clan map they can be attacked Upon, in other maps anyways they can't be attacked upon unless they attack first.

and well of course if non clanned lower lvl player attacks then he can be attacked upon.. So no change there.
The new suggestion apply only to non clanned players In non clan map if they dont initiate the fight and don't attack back. So it's very good idea.

This sounds great to me. The PvP idea, not LK being wrong... ;)

People who want to clan or actively PvP can do so and others don't have to get into it. If you want to get into PvP there are plenty of opportunities to do so. Us... (Khmer, help me out! Was "crybabies" one of the terms? Yes?) Us crybabies get our pacifiers and don't have to get scared and those adventurous folks get what they want too!

I support the idea of non clanned players being exempt from pvp as long as they do not enter clan maps and cannot attack any players at all.

And as long as non clanned mages cannot heal players participating in pvp.

And as long as non clanned players cannot block the heal of mages participating in pvp

Don't you mean "And as long as non clanned players can NOT block the heal of mages participating in pvp"?

Excluding non-clanned mages/players from healing/blocking would require a significant change to game mechanics.
By comparison, making players immune to PVP would be simple.

Make all players start with PVP protection on by default, but lose that protection once they enter the Colosseum, or attack a player or join a clan. They can then buy PvP protection after a delay of one week (or one month), and this PvP protection lasts a longer time than now (1 year?) but is again lost if they visit the colosseum / attack a player / join a clan.
Buying PvP protection while outlaw will be impossible (as it is now). The cost of buying new PvP protection should be significant to prevent abuse.

If that became reality, then all existing players would have ONE WEEK to buy PvP Protection at a reduced price (unless prohibited by being clanned or outlaw).

I like this idea. However, I have one major issue: what happens to players (myself included) who own houses inside the Colosseum map???
