Blocking of accounts on the startup map by the moderator

Sounds like you were kicked.-ACE- wrote:I ask for an explanation by the moderator why my account Tekras was blocked yesterday on da hobbit on the startup map?
I don't know why DaHobbit kicked you - perhaps he may comment here later.
But typically, players get kicked for breaking rules repeatedly, or not listening and/or arguing with a GM.
If your kick was an hour or less, I'd say you have nothing really to worry about.
Whatever you were doing, don't do it anymore.
Typically, GMs will use a kick as more of a warning than anything - mutes do have a permanent counter, and jailing can be longer than intended.
But, you sound like you don't know what happened. I'll try to see if we can get you some answers.
This is good for both of us - as I believe, neither of us would like this to happen again, if possible.
EDIT: Ah... I should have said originally, you can always send him a private message and ask him yourself. This may be a more favourable option to some, as they may not want such information publicly known.

I did not break any rules on start map, I did not stand on the bridge. When trying to get answers from another account, he did not speak once. Please give the @daHobbit a reply and explain why he did it. DaHobbit always say "i dont read pm messages" so I wrote on the general forum for clarification.

I think there's a slight confusion here.-ACE- wrote:I did not break any rules on start map, I did not stand on the bridge. When trying to get answers from another account, he did not speak once. DaHobbit reads forum PM messages - all the time.
What I think you're referring to is in game chat "whispers" - green chat.
Many players are aware that DaHobbit will not respond to green chat.
The reason for this is simple - if a GM sits at start map, players will walk up and green chat them - without asking, or even looking to see if the GM is talking to someone or not. This is, rude. What's more fun, is when several players do it at once. Yes, this happens all the time.

Yes I talk about green chat in game but let's go back to the subject and matter to explain yesterday the behavior of the moderator daHobbit.

This is why GM should have to report to someone or at least explain why they did what they did. It seems all you can do is say speak with DaHobbit. What if he chooses not to respond or clarify? Then there is nothing to be done? We should work on better system to keep track of why a GM is doing what they are doing. Otherwise abuse will happen.
Just my opinion.
Response from DaHobbit: You are correct. And there is and always was a way to report a GM - just contact an Admin. You can also contact another GM and ask for the action to be reported. This will usually cause the GM to post the information in our group chat. The Admins will see the report there as well. Just please don't contact everyone. This will only make everyone try to help the situation, and cause way too much work - which will often get GMs to stop working on the issue because they think someone else is now dealing with the issue.

Re: Blocking of accounts on the startup map by the moderator
I kicked several people from start map yesterday. Several players continued to block the bridges. This is against the rules. I would move the players and they would just come back and block again. If I recall, you were on the bridge with two pets. I asked repeatedly to not block the bridge. You never responded or moved - so I moved you off the game for a little while.

I never block bridges that day as well, it did not take place, look at the logs and check it out. On the bridge there are animals but not mine (red dinosaurs) but it is rather you should know that the account of lvl 1k can not have such pets in the game so rather it is obvious that I did not react to your messages about changing the animals from the bridge.

Then there is the possibility that I kicked you in error. Honestly, there were a lot of people and I started kicking the ones on the bridge. If I got you on accident, I certainly apologize.
