Two Emeralds [Feature, not Bug]

Post by LostKnight »

FT Account name: LostKnight/(an archer) - rather not say, PM if necessary.
Time of bug: Noticed about 20 minutes minutes before post. FT Time: 16-10-2017 02:53 (now)
Where: between maps: -1.-1 and -1.-2
What: ended up with two emeralds
Why: The lady only lost one emerald.
Other comments: I was actually doing two quests at the same time, both involving bandits, with a new account: archer(3):

1. - Slay bandits to retrieve beekeeper's 5 stolen honey pots.
2. - Retrieve an emerald jewel from bandits and bring it to the owner near the road sign.

Before I got the five honey pots I ended up with 2 jewels ... ended up with 7 honey pots as well by the time I got back to the beekeeper.

Bug or feature?

I think you're talking about the quest on map -1.-1
Stolen heirloom or jewel or whatever its called lol
That one should drop if you have the quest, but don't have the item in your pack
It is possible to get more than one
The quest rewards are very minor, and it can only be completed once per account
It's not really an issue

As for the honey pots
They should keep dropping until you complete the quest
You could have as many as you wish
Again, small rewards.. not really an issue

For more advanced quests with better rewards that have these sort of items
There are some things in place to prevent mass abuse
Like minimum quest level, or not tradeable items...

EDIT: by the way, level 0 boots fall into the first category
if you decide to farm them for players, keep in mind you'll not be able to get more once you pick one up
This is alleviated by trading to another when you get the drop
With 2 devices, you can use 1 alt to kill, while the other just fills the pack

Or just farm crocy on bank map top right hand side, run to bank every time you get a drop, store, repeat.

I have other things in the bank - it's only 20 spaces. However I have been known to request a player stay in map x.x and I'll be right back with some boots. Sometime they leave, and if that happens I'll carry them until I find them or give them to another deserving soul. Or if something really urgent comes up and I need the space, I'll put them on the ground and walk away. maybe someone will fine them. {rolls eyes}
