East Cave Strategy and Beyond

As of now, I'm a L456 mage. If I want to explore the East Cave, I need to kill pets (fairies) and buy those with higher dex, maybe ninjas (dex 235). Otherwise, I have no chance against the fire archers (dex 225) and southern mushyman (dex 165), each drop the required keys for doors and chests. Once I hit 500, then I lose access to the 250-499 chests (or whatever the level cap is). I still need to finish the central House quest, so higher dex pets would come in handy against those enemies as well.

For those that have retrieved items from the chests, is it worth my time and RL $ to kill/buy pets for this?

personal suggestion: don t go with pets there, if u must, try to leave them outside. they will not help u much.

Your not loosing 250-499 chests.you will still take them so don't worry about it.

i agree, pets are likely to die.
my strategy was to go in alone and ask a mage friend to stay just outside. move forward tospawn one of the enemies which drop key and move back towards the door. your friend outside can heal.you while you kill the enemy monster.

about the chests. you have will get all level rewards up to ypur current level but have to click on the chest for each.

so if you go in at lvl 1501 for the first time the 1st click will get you the lv250reward, 2nd the lv500. etc. u to the 1500 one. if you come back at lv 2k you get that one. (Response by DaHobbit: Chest levels are 250, 500, 750, and 1000. And correct, you do not lose the items, but you can only get the item of your level range and lower. If you go in at level 749, you will only get the 2 items from 250 and 500. If you go in at lvl 1000, you get all four items. As you correctly pointed out - you must click the chest for each item - so click it until it stops giving. Once that level 749 goes to 750, he can return for the 750 item. The 1000 item will still be waiting.)

No need to kill faires lol.
Just leave them outside. U go In alone and kill lol. Getting keys is time taking but not hard. With your DeX set right u can get In 1 day. If u want u can leave the faires outside but in range so that they not die. U spawn enemy go near the wall so that fairy can kill from outside.

I repeat no need to kill pets at all...
No need to kill even fire archers or mushy men.
They don't drop keys.. the shadow zombie drops. Just u need to know the way to go in and spawn shadow zombie one by one. Just stay close to the wall. U get in without spawning fire archers. Go till the end and try spawn zombie one at a time. Set your dex to 281. Hp to 20k at least. rest mana. U will be fine.

Even if u kill faires and buy ninjas still no good. Ninja will die easy by shadow zombie. Ninja dex 235. Shadow zombie dex 275.

good tip death. ranged pets can kill from outside. forgot about that lol. il take fairies,when i go back.
