Password issue

I am trying to reset the password for my sons account. It hasn't been used in a year. Every time I submit the email request it changes my account password.

A good deal of this is covered in the FAQ viewtopic.php?f=25&t=14031

In fact, I've added another comment on this very issue as a reply yesterday; it will be edited in later.

You actually get two emails.
The first is the one with the link to reset the password.
The second is the one with the new password.
Make sure you check your spam folder.
Also note, there are two types of reset - single account, and full email (all accounts linked to that email can be reset).

His screen name is Derain and mine is Daisysue27. When I submit the request to change his password, the system defaults to my account. I know how to change it but I don't get emails for Derain, only Daisysue27.

Ok, a question.
What are you entering into the recovery field?
If you enter the email address, it should give you a list of all accounts linked to that email.
If you enter the account name, it will only send an email for that account.
Try both - the account name, and the email it's linked to.

Now, if both accounts are linked to the same email, but they're not both listed in the email recovery, it's likely you mistyped the email at registration. This could also be if you're just not receiving an email. Keep in mind, the recovery system is case sensitive both on account names and emails.

For incorrect email, you'll need an admin to verify - they have green names on the forum, and you could contact one.
