Many quests for beginning players pay both XP and gold. As quests require more levels and tasks, gold payouts drop.
Now, maybe I'm the only player that doesn't have multiple vaults and billions in gold, so is it asking too much for any future, in-development quests to pay gold (based on quest level, tasks, etc) as a reward?

Re: Gold Rewards
Interesting - go back just over a year and the following thread seemed to be the consensus of opinion back then:

Have the scales tipped too far the other way?

Re: Gold Rewards
Idk if they've tipped "too far", but much of the reserves belonging to players have dropped. Idk about needing more gold in game, but I think the gold sinks we now have are likely enough for now.

Re: Gold Rewards
Maybe my opinion is biased since I'm now just getting to the higher level quests, many of which require large amounts of gold to pay NPCs or buy materials for crafted items (needed to complete quests)

Re: Gold Rewards
I can understand that, but FT was never designed to be extremely easy. Older players had to grind for long times to gain a few levels, and amassed that gold over years of playing. The new quests (needing so much to complete) brings back that feeling of accomplishment once a hard-to-finish quest is finally done.

Re: Gold Rewards
Anecdotally, what I've noticed since the Ardesia City update is that there is much more team work taking place in order to work through the different quest requirements.
As you would expect, this is happening within clans but also clanned/unclanned friends helping other clanned/unclanned friends with mining and crafting. I've also seen higher level players escorting lower levels through dangerous places.
This can only be a good thing: playing the game with others rather than in isolation.

Re: Gold Rewards
Alas, the times that I play, there are no others
But, I do understand @mad's pov. Although it would be nice to get a gold boost for crafting materials, I'm leveling quite nicely by taking the long route to grind for sellable items

Re: Gold Rewards
i think they problem may be that people just bought their gear using gold instead of grinding for the drop.the different key chests on the orc and human map yielded a huge amount of gear which if sold at shop would net you several billions. this gold can be used for these quests.
if you spend it on something else.... well that may have been shortsighted. but you can always grind for rare drops like a white wand and sell it to a player.
point is these quests werent designed to be completedin a few days.sure the extreme high lvls can but normal players might need to grind for the necessary drops and gold for a few months. (hint : craft legendary clubs fir a week or 2 and sell to shops to get gold).
