I "posted" a message on 6/29. It still shows as "pending approval". How long does the process take? I sent a pm to one of the admins, so not going to bother one of them again for another day or so. still, I'm curious. ironically, my comments to existing posts show in the feed immediately

I'm not sure how often they check for approval on comments, but I am sure the enabled that due to some "unsavory" comments in the past. If your post there isn't against forum policies (which I doubt, or you likely wouldn't have posted it at all), you can likely post it here, also.

I've never had any clue directly on this thought, but I to believe that the GMs/admins of the FB group hold their standards to be the same as if it were posted on Forum, regarding content of messages.

Posts in the FaceBook group have to receive Gandalf's approval - even if they are posted by staff members
