I've found that despite what the item drop rate indicates, drops appear more frequent when multiple players are grinding in same area. For example, if I'm grinding Knights in on e of the houses all by myself, drop rate is close to the posted percentage. However, if a 2nd or 3rd person starts to grind in the house, then the drop rate increases. I've noticed similar behavior when chopping trees (magic trunk drops).
Has anyone else noticed this, or is my imagination just playing tricks?

Re: Map Congestion vs Item Drop
I'm inclined to go with "probably your imagination," but not without a dumb question or two first!
So 1 player on a map grinding for a specific drop at a 1% drop rate would be something like (1 × 1%), but 3 players would be (3 × 1%)? Or whatever the numbers are for drop rate and players.
If that was the case shouldn't it be the same for all drop types? Easiest place to notice such a thing should be at spawn with rare fish, I would guess. There are plenty of times you see 20 people fishing, but I don't know if the rare fish pile up 20 times faster.
Last night I was mining and happened to get 2 soul stones in a row, so stuff like that happens. I think once I got 3 magic trunks from one tree, and have done 2 trunks from one tree a few times.

Re: Map Congestion vs Item Drop
Mathematically, it shouldn't make a difference at all. If the % probability drop chance is 1% then when one monster dies the next one is also 1%, and the next and next and so on.
But then again, I love stuff like this and will check anyway:)

In my time here in FT i have also noticed fluctuations of drop rates. One time several players on the forums Told me it was just my bad luck and i ended up being right after all. To those players that doubted: I TOLD YOU SO!!!! DON'T EVER DOUBT ME AGAIN!!!Humble_M wrote: Thu Jul 05, 2018 9:01 pm I've found that despite what the item drop rate indicates, drops appear more frequent when multiple players are grinding in same area. Re: Map Congestion vs Item Drop
Falls jemand anders denkt, schreibt eure meinung ruhig hier rein !
Bis dahin....
