Daily Mage quests at King's Garden
I have a question about the mechanics of the quests. My 1000+ character has gotten progressively harder quests without any repetition. My 500 swordsman has had the cycle only go so far and then start over. Is the quest sequences level related? It may be it won't go further because my 500 level player would not be able to possibly do the quest so it resets to daily quests he is capable of doing. Has anyone experienced this? If it is a bug rather than an intended administration it is my responsibility to report it and not continue to use it if faulty. If this is the way it works great I can use the opportunity to level there but if it is a bug I don't want to fall on the side of someone abusing a bug for their own benefit.

Re: Daily Mage quests at King's Garden
My guess is that this is similar to the daily mercenary quest in how it operates. For the mercenary quest someone once described it to me along these lines:
I am totally making up levels for the purpose of demonstration, so these level ranges are NOT accurate!
A player level 300-500 has access to quests A, B, C, D, E ,F, G. The player will do them in that specific order, then will get a random quest between A-G each day while in this level range.
A player level 501-1000 has access to quests H, I, J, K, L, M, N. If a player has already done quests A-G in the lower level group already he will start these H-N quests in the specific order, then will get a random quest between H-N each day while in this level range. But, if a player in this level range has not completed quests A-G the player needs to finish those first.
Probably more level groups than that, but you get the idea.
If that's how it works your 1k+ character has been advancing through the "easier" quests and will soon reach the end of his level group quests before he starts to get some repeats. Your level 500 character is stuck on the "easier" quests and will get repeats until he reaches the next level bracket.

I considered that however (my memory may be slipping on this now) I do not remember repeating mercenary quests except perhaps as an increased number needed but never the exact quest over again. It may be just coincidental that I advanced also between quests and wasn't in the range for a repeat. In any case unless a GM or compbatant contradicts this I will assume that is the normal functioning of the daily quest and enjoy the opportunity to do some repeats.

I think I've been on the same cycle so far (but behind) as your 1k, so I think normal. Maybe...

Re: Daily Mage quests at King's Garden
I think you've both accurately described what happens with the different stages or tiers.
The other subtle difference, as described elsewhere, is that as long as you have completed the previous quest, the Aetor mage automatically gives you the next one. However, the mage below KG sometimes gives you the next quest, but sometimes sends you away without one.

Re: Daily Mage quests at King's Garden
I apologize for bringing up this topic again as I see another player did in May entitled issues with daily quests. No definite answer was given there by any staff so it may resurface again! My main concern was it a bug...evidently not as 5 weeks later it remains the same. Thank you for your indulgence.
