You can tell a recession is looming when a Legendary Helm (750) sells for 450k.

When that helmet was released, it was in a dungeon that even players lvl 0 could enter. To keep players from alt-farming them for massive gold, their shop value was set very low.
That dungeon now requires lvl 500, I believe.
