Mining Meteors
Hello all.
I was mining meteors earlier and a friend told me that he has found that he gets more meteors when he mines gold or carbon.
So we decided to test this out. He mined 6 meteors and I mined 0 before we quit mining.
Coincidence? Perhaps but still that's a giant difference.
Has anyone else noticed this when mining?

Re: Mining Meteors
Never noticed a difference except: Soul stones seem to drop more often than meteors.

Re: Mining Meteors
If just two people tested I don't think that's much to go on. I've gone mining and picked up 0 meteor/soul stones and I've also gone mining and picked up 10 or so. I've even managed to pick up 3-4 soul stones in a row, so some uncommon things happen.
My last mining was to get 2 gold ingots and 1 mithril ingot for an alt. I got 10 gold ores and 1 meteor stone. I got 5 mithril ores and 1 soul stone. Not something definitive by any means.
No harm in testing if course.

It is strange that I got 0 and he got 6.
Anyways I hope this doesn't turn out to be true as I prefer to mine stone near my house.

Re: Mining Meteors
Playing devils advocate, there are other considerations. His mine level vs yours is one. The advantage for dwarves is another.

Re: Mining Meteors
I have a 1000+ dwarf with 11+ mining and have found it to be very random however it does seem to give more drops for better ores but of course I switch it up quite a bit also.

Re: Mining Meteors
I think class or one's skill level only impacts the speed of mining. You may get 1 or you may get 10 soul/meteors but you'll get them faster maybe.

↑↑ Yup, I agree with that.
At least it seems logical ... until someone proves it wrong.
