There has been some discussion in mchat this last day or so about the value or use of leaves. I thought I'd bring it to the main forum where it is more visible.

I'll start by referring you to Gullander's ABC post where he mentions petrified leaves. I *think* you can find these at the crocy map under Kings Garden.

Are these the leaves mentioned in mchat? Quite possibly.

I know there isn't any existing use for petrified leaves right now. It's a neat item to have, but unless you want to have one/some in case they are needed later I wouldn't buy one for a billion gold or anything.

Never seen petrified objects.
Never known of their existence.

I would keep them in doubt.

Here is a picture.
The plus boards are called "Sturdy petrified wooden planks" and the plus 2 leaves are "Petrified wooden leaf". The regular petrified boards look like the sturdy minus the plus symbols.

And above all, what are they for? I once saw the petrified wooden board but never a pain

What I find most interesting is that Gull has different alts with amusing names for all of these screenshots!

Under Kings Gardens there is a petrified tree. You actually mine it and get petrified wooden planks as the standard material. The leaves and the excellent variety are less common.

A lot of my names have meaning. Bjarga is Old Norse " to help, to save, to protect" sounds like a storage alt to me! Now with that little bit of non essential information we now return to the original post and I "leave" this discussion.
