Special weapons and armors
If possible then try these things for characters: Light/Heavy armor and hand weapon(normal) / Great weapon=used with both hands. Light armor bonuses:Can move quickly whilst Heavy armor would give better armor. Great weapons could cause additional damage to target and as being heavier might be little slower to used whilst hand weapons would be faster but not that much damage causing.For mage there could be magical armor that brings little more armor and maybe little addition for their HP as well.Also maybe some form of Talismans that each class could wear.Each class could have 3 different talismans to enhance their characteristics for instance Talisman of Speed,Talisman of Mana,Talisman of Brutality and Talisman of Protection etc.

Talismans could be the main as I only made few main suggestions of possible armor and weapon ideas.So the talisman list would go like this in addition for those mentioned earlier:
1.talisman of torment
2.Talisman of warrior
3.Talisman of magic
4.Talisman of rage
5.Talisman of berserk
6.Talisman of silverwood
7.Talisman of gods
8.Talisman of spiders

Very intriguing suggestion. 
Perhaps even off-hand items such as quivers for damage or dexterity bonus, spell books/tomes for a lengthened slow spell or double cast and parrying weapons that give offensive bonuses for melee characters.
