The purpose of killer bunny?
What is it exactly? So far its to kill outlaws and "bad guys". Especially high level ones. Thats what i just got from it. So id like to raise a point for discussion.
I understand outlaws to a degree. They killed enough "innocent" nonclanned players to warrent it. But some have also killed in self defence.
Regardless they all bare the sake curse. To be completely owned for a week or longer by those higher than them and small mobs of those lower than them. Is it needed that their killed even more by something with huge movement speed, teleport capabilities and probably other mod powers too?
Its apart of the game and all. Or else outlaw features wouldnt have been put in. But why have an accoubt with this capability made to destroy them? When other players are going to do it ayway?
Sure the arguement "but some are so high no one can kill them" will come up. But the obes grievously lower probably shouldnt have tried yo gank them and if it gets bad a normal mod accoubt could solve that issue right?
Next is "bad guys". How is this being determined? People are viewed differently and attack/defend according to whats happening.
Im sure im viewed by some as "bad" ive killed plenty now whove attacked the clan and friends. While some think im alright for bailing them out of trouble. Wheres the line drawn? And again couldnt a normal mod account be used to solve this? Since they have many useable commands at their disposal?
Does it enhance the game or hinder the game, does it grief sone and make others lol? Whatre your thoughts? Discussion is welcome.

Re: The purpose of killer bunny?
I had issue with with rabbit when I first saw it it owned my sword. No explanation of this rabbit on forum about its intentions or about its reasons for been there. So I basically got wiped out and was angry. I came back on my main account and asked what the hell was going on. My reply was "your outlaw and then when you die you cry about it" I made post about this and then within a week a post from mod was posted about the bunny intentions. Would of been nice to have been told about this before I got owned before hand. But nvm I like your post

Outlaw is a feature of the game though that people can willingly undertake. Or unwilling if you kill your attacker. Thing is, why is this account jumping on board for outlaw killing? I can understand kicking disruptful players or ones who're griefing mods or are uncooperative.
But my question is... why is this account here that serves as a generic faceless entity. That kills outlaws. When playera do this already. Why not use a normal mod account? And my other question being... Does having this account doing what it does grief or enhance gameplay for people?

Your point here mentioning "outlaw is a feature of the game" nobody can actually argue with u here. Well said.Asmodeous wrote:Outlaw is a feature of the game though that people can willingly undertake. Or unwilling if you kill your attacker. Just want you to know, since this post appeared, the staff has been discussing this issue again. Of course, we take all your opinions into consideration, so please, post your thoughts.
Again, we are collecting all opinions, that of our staff and our players, and reviewing this feature of the game. In a short while, you can expect a more definitive answer from an admin (or two).
Personally, even before I was a moderator, I liked the idea of the KillerBunny. However, I do understand the flaws in the current outlaw system. Hopefully, that will be changed soon.
Keep the posts coming guys
EDIT: I don't like the idea of main moderator accounts killing outlaws. Any player should feel safe in approaching me (or any moderator) in-game, regardless if they have outlaw status or not.

DISCLAIMER DISCLAIMER DISCLAIMER.
Yes i have only take part of his post. No i am not ripping it out of context.
You do want people feeling safe approaching a mod but that looming fact a mod can just pop over obto that account can be unsettling to some. Especially if theyve been deemed a "bad guy".
An approachable moderator and admins (which ive found all to be) is pure awesome. Theres only one other place ive seen this in.
Im not knocking anyone either by the way. I do think you do a bang up job and its one of the reasons i like playing here and still do. I figured I would raise this since something clicked over in my brain and decided to ask.
Cheers guys, ill be back soon to check on this. If mods or similar are interested i could slap together some ideas to do with outlaws. Ive got 48 spare hours at work to figure things out if desired.

This. No one wants to kill anyone on a main moderator account. Because theyl know who it was. On killer bunny. No one knows who it was.MadMikael wrote: EDIT: I don't like the idea of main moderator accounts killing outlaws. Re: The purpose of killer bunny?
Actually, I would be very interested in your ideas about outlaws and such. Please, post them! I would suggest a new thread though.
I am currently reviewing the suggestions thread, and compiling ideas. Recall the post of After 4.0 by blitzcraig? Well, we're trying to make that happen. Please, everyone, flood the suggestions topic if you like (just remember, quality over quantity, I am deleting stuff).
Back to topic.. I think KillerBunny is just one person. But who isn't as important as why, I think. That was the purpose of this thread.

Re: The purpose of killer bunny?
I try to explain whats the purpose of the bunny. And I am one of his users. I try to be short.
On game, basically we have two groups of players: the guys who dont want pvp and enjoy the game being helpful and colaborating with others, or simply grinding monsters; and the pvp lovers. Both options are absolutely right ones and we havent any problem with this.
The problems begins when somebody abuse unfairly of the others. This comes sometimes in a harrasment and ruin the others players experience. Yes, outlaw is a automatic punishment for not clanned players killers. But outlaw lose his content since the outlawed is a highter level compared with his victims.
As staff, we have received and receive requests to kill these guys. The truth, fair players deserves enjoy the game. And they must be protected. Specially bad are behaviours like kill (continuosly) people when they are undefense because grinding, generate massive spwns to kill lower unclaned players, border attack, harrasing, and more well knowed bad behaviours.
The staff has been discussed many times what to do with this requests. Kill outlaws with mod accounts is already discarted. The Grrr clan was created in order to give a taste of his own medicine to unfair players. Also, the bunny has been hunted several times with fun for everybody.
The alternative is harder one: kick long time or jail these accounts. So, be killed is a minor punishment that the alternatives.
Finally, the staff is the responsible to decide the game rules and what behaviours are not tolerable. And dont forget: we act always as team, in colective decisions.
Many players call the rabbit when someone prevents them from enjoying the game. If somebody want dont having to fear him, please dont abuse excesively of the others.

That works for me. The last paragraph. So now ill ponder for a while and open a new topic on outlaws. Suggestions thread right? Since ive got questions and after discussion too.MadMikael wrote:Actually, I would be very interested in your ideas about outlaws and such. Please, post them! I would suggest a new thread though.
